My Cybersmart Challenge

Today for my cybersmart challenge I did a scavenger hunt on Google docs. I have fun because it taught me tips and tricks I never knew that Google docs have. My favourite part was probably the emoji task.

Here’s the task I did

Google Docs 101 Cybersmart Challenge 25 Mar 2025

Today’s Cybersmart Challenge is all about features inside of Google Docs. You do not need to use any other tools. This task can be completed within this Doc.

  • Change these bullet points to a checklist so you can tick off the tasks as you complete them.
  • Add the date that you are completing this task to the title. You can insert a smart chip by typing the @ key and then the word today without any spaces.
  • Change the font of the title on this document
  • Use the Dictionary tool to find the definition of the word smart.
    Add three synonyms here

    •  Intelligent
    •   Clever
    •  Smart

  • Insert an image of your favourite animal here. Before you insert the image, click on the magnifying glass to preview your image and click on the name of the file of the image. Then copy the URL for where the image is from. Paste this below your image.

  • Write a sentence about yourself. Use emojis to replace some of the words.

Here’s an example: I like to 🚶 my 🐕 on the 🏖️. He likes to 🏊 with me.

I like to eat 🍔👑 and also like 🐕s. My favourite thing to do is 😴.

Share your mahi on your blog. This video explains how to do this.

A day at Tech !

Tech

Today at tech we had Te reo. Matua Adrian was teaching us greetings in different cultures. We went around the room saying greetings in our culture. Matua Adrian then taught us different ways to greet one person, two people, or a bunch.

To say Hi in Maori to one person is “ Tena Koe ” to two people its “ Tena Korua ” and to 3+ people its “ Tena koutou katoa ” We then had to spell six different maori words but the catch was we couldn’t have the same words as others.

We finished at the speed of light and my group and I won. Saf, crisriel and myself had won and Matua Adrian said that we would get a prize next week. We then headed out for two games. The first game we played was a game Matua Adrian taught us. We played and I won!

We then played Hi, Ha, Ho We played heaps of rounds but eventually I won again ! We went inside and we did two rounds of blooket. April won the first round and I won the second. We finished tech and said bye to Matua Adrian and walked off to our bus ready for a day of school.

Origami Fish

Today for Summer Learing Journey we did Origami fish. It was super easy ! I did it in under 3 minutes. I wanted to give my fish an eye. My favourite part was when it was done. One fact about origmai is : The art of paper folding was popularized in Japan, but the origin of origami happened earlier in China.
